Dutch drinks supplier Toorank, which produces both private-label and third-party spirits for a number of firms, has undergone a management takeover, with CEO Natal da Graça and CCO Henny Tadema taking ownership/control of the company.
The move follows the retirement of former owner Toon Blij, who bought Toorank from Metaxa in 1990 and developed it into a drinks firm that now trades in more than 50 markets.
Family Heritage
“Toorank is an international company with a family heritage,” commented da Graça.
“Henny and myself see ourselves as the next generation, taking over from Toon, who’s built a commendable legacy. Toorank has seen times of change over the last couple of years, but we are now steadier than ever. We continue building on its 40 years’ experience, and I am very impressed with the quality and competence of our team. We have a clear vision and plan, which our team is united behind. The future is looking good.”
CEO da Graça, who took over as CEO in January 2018, will be responsible for the operational side of the business, working alongside Tadema, a former Heineken, Seagram’s and Red Bull executive.
“We share the same values and vision for Toorank, and are ready to confidently lead it into its next chapter,” da Graça said.
