Anne Serres is to be named the new head of communications at the Gérard Bertrand wine group, Rayon-Boissons.com has reported.
The graduate of Sciences-Po Paris will be primarily tasked with developing the image of the winemaker’s premium SKUs. She will assume her role in March, succeeding Véronique Braun.
Serres has spent years working in the field of wine journalism, writing for a number of leading European magazines and newspapers, as well as acting as editor-in-chief of Vitisphère for seven years.
Gérard Bertrand wines are available in all main supermarket chains in France, as well as through large-scale retailers abroad, such as Marks & Spencer. The group was named the Wine Enthusiast European Winery of the Year in 2012.
Edit: An earlier version of this story reported that Serres had been appointed 'Head of Marketing and Communication' at the group. We would like to confirm that Serres will be in charge only of the Communication Department, as Karine Hamelin has been for almost 10 years now Chief of Marketing for Gerard Bertrand and still holds that position.
