Wine brand 'GN Sauvignon Blanc', developed by Invivo Wines in conjunction with television personality Graham Norton, has been made available in Tesco UK, and Kroger in the US.
This complements its presence in Irish supermarket chain SuperValu, where it has become the biggest-selling wine in the chain’s portfolio. New Zealand-based Invivo Wines estimates it will sell 1.5 million bottles of the wine globally by the year’s end.
Though the Sauvignon Blanc grapes used for the SKU are grown in Marlborough, New Zealand, Irishman Norton, who hosts a well-known chat show on BBC in the UK, blended the wine himself in Cork, Ireland.
Tesco Master of Wine, James Davis, said the UK’s biggest supermarket chain is “delighted" to add it to its drinks offering.
“We are always looking for interesting wines at an affordable price point that will surprise and delight our customers, and this does just that. Many of our customers will be familiar with Graham Norton and will be keen to try his wine.”
