Heineken Spain has announced the appointment of Pilar Pérez Ramírez as its new director of communications.
She will be responsible for further promoting the reputation of the brewer.
Her tasks will include making Heineken Spain's communications even more relevant and transparent, taking into account all its stakeholders and its commitment to omnichannel communication.
Heineken Spain offers iconic brands such as Heineken®, Cruzcampo, Amstel and El Águila in the country.
An Experienced Professional
Pérez Ramírez brings a wealth of experience in communications and journalism.
She joins Heineken Spain after spending more than a decade at the L'Oréal Group, where she served as director of external communications for Spain and Portugal.
Previously, she worked as head of communication at CESCE, and as an economic journalist for 14 years in various media organisations, including Europa Press, Actualidad Económica and Capital.
She graduated in information sciences from the Complutense University (UCM) of Madrid and earned a master’s degree in digital marketing from the IE Business School.
In February 202o, Heineken Spain entered into an agreement with energy supplier Iberdrola for purchasing 100% renewable electricity for its breweries and offices in the country.
The Dutch brewing giant has decided to exit its business in Russia, after previously saying it would halt new investments and exports there, anticipating a charge of €400 million.
'We have concluded that Heineken's ownership of the business in Russia is no longer sustainable nor viable in the current environment,' it said in a statement, adding that it would not profit from any transfer of ownership.
