Germany's Henkell & Co. Group has released the logo for its newly created Henkell Freixenet holding, which is a result of the merger between the Mionetto maker and Freixenet, effective 1 January 2019.
The alliance between the German and Spanish winemakers will enable them to gain access to new markets and distribution channels.
Freixenet is one of the leading international sparkling wine brands with strong market positions and sales in around 140 countries.
The Henkell Group offers a wide range of sparkling wines, including Mionetto, which it claims is the best-selling Prosecco in the world.
In 2017, sales of the Henkell & Co. Group amounted to €702 million, while Freixenet SA generated €535 million in the past financial year.
