Italian mineral water and soda producer Sanpellegrino Group has recorded 25.4 per cent annual growth in international sales for 2015, confirming the positive trend previously noted in 2014.
Exports to 145 countries were worth €474 million and now account for 52 per cent of the group’s total turnover.
Exports of mineral water brands San Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, together with the San Pellegrino drinks, totalled about 1.47 billion bottles.
In its home market, the positive performance was driven by the Levissima brand, which grew by 9 per cent.
Sanpellegrino Group is also investing over €16 million this year in the opening of a new production unit in Castrocielo, located in Italy’s Lazio region, for bottling the Nestlé Vera mineral water brand.
Sanpellegrino is the leader of the beverage sector in Italy, with its mineral waters (Levissima, Nestlé Vera, Acqua Panna, Recoaro), non-alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and iced tea.
