Lidl Portugal has increased the offer of quality white wines at its stores, which have been awarded at international contests such as the 'Portugal Wine Trophy', the 'International Wine Challenge' and 'Mundus Vini'.
The Azinhaga de Ouro Branco 2015 and Portal do Minho Verde Branco Loureiro DOC 2015, introduced last week in Lidl stores, were recently awarded a silver medal at the 3rd edition of the Portugal wine Trophy.
Produced in the Douro region, the Azinhaga de Ouro Branco 2015 was distinguished as 'Commended' at the International Wine Challenge. This wine, retailing for €1.59, has very fresh and floral aromas, and accompanies entries, snacks, seafood, fish and grilled white meats.
Elsewhere, Portal do Minho Vinho Verde Branco Loureiro DOC 2015, exclusively sold by Lidl for €1.49, is made exclusively from grapes of the Loureiro. It has a clear aspect, a citrus color, intense aroma and distinctive flavour, making it also a perfect wine for summer.
In addition, the white wines Almocreve Regional Alentejano 2015 and Festa Rija Regional Tejo 2015, were distinguished with the silver medal at the Portugal Wine Trophy.
