Majestic Wine's retail operations director, Rob Farnworth, has left the company after 18 months in the role, according to Retail Gazette.
The company has already lost a number of executives this year - group chairman Phil Wrigley announced his imminent retirement in June, and managing director John Colley left the company in April to join Hobbycraft as chief executive.
Retail Gazette reports that Farnworth currently does not have another job lined up.
Promoting Entrepreneurship
“We said that to improve team retention and engagement at Majestic we needed to make some changes to make the business more entrepreneurial," said Majestic's chief executive Rowan Gormley.
“To achieve this we’ve made some changes to our team and we are rolling out the new Majestic Partner Programme to give control back to our store managers and encourage a new entrepreneurial culture.”
Majestic Wine is currently undergoing a turnaround plan, and last week the company reported an 11.4% increase in sales for the 2017 fiscal year.
