Moët & Chandon inaugurated the renovated Château de Saran in France, a property of the Maison since 1801, on 22 May, to mark the 150th anniversary of its signature champagne - Moët Imperial.
Hollywood stars Natalie Portman, Uma Thurman, and Douglas Booth attended the event along with international socialites, celebrities, brand ambassadors, and friends of the Maison.
The Inauguration
The event started with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner served in a mirrored décor to reflect the beauty of the Maison’s Chouilly vineyards.
The meal was prepared by Yannick Alléno, a three-Michelin-starred chef and brand ambassador of Moët & Chandon since 2014, and Dominique Crenn, chef of the Michelin three-star restaurant, Atelier Crenn in San Francisco.
The evening ended with a live performance of Lost Without You by Freya Ridings, one of Britain’s biggest breakthrough artists in 2018.
'A Pivotal Moment'
Stéphane Baschiera, president and CEO of Moët & Chandon, said, “We are thrilled to welcome our honoured guests to the beautifully-restored Château de Saran to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Moët Impérial in grand style, and to mark a pivotal moment in our house’s history.”
The renovation of the Château de Saran, located in Champagne in northeastern France, took four years to complete, LVMH said in its statement.
It was once a hunting lodge, which was later turned into a family residence.
Since the 1960s, it has been a venue for hosting festive celebrations, where guests enjoyed unique Moët & Chandon experiences and revelled in the Maison’s legendary 'savoir-fête'.
