French drinks-maker Pernod Ricard has promoted Philip Ainsworth to the position of marketing director of its UK arm, CampaignLive.co.uk reports.
Reporting to Laurent Pillet, Pernod Ricard’s managing director, Ainsworth will we be responsible for driving major accounts in the UK, such as Absolut and Malibu.
He replaces Patrick Venning, who has been appointed global marketing director of Ballantine’s Finest and Chivas Brothers’ Introduction to Scotch portfolio (both Pernod subsidiaries).
Experience
Ainsworth has been at the helm of Polish brand Wyborowa Pernod Ricard since 2014, and occupied a number of more junior roles previous to this since joining the firm in 2008.
Before joining Pernod, he held positions at Majestic Wine, Winecellars and Bodegas Riojanas at various points in his career.
