Drinks giant Pernod Ricard has announced the completion of the sale of the Glenallachie Whisky Distillery to a three-person consortium.
The consortium is comprised of Billy Waker, Graham Stevenson and Trisha Savage, who are all experienced figures in the Scotch-whisky industry.
The deal was first announced in July, with Pernod Ricard saying that the sale was in line with the company's strategy to focus on its priority spirit and wine brands, and to adjust its industrial footprint to its needs.
In August, the company posted a 3.6% increase in organic growth for its full-year 2017, with sales totalling €9,010 million.
The group said that it benefitted from changes to its portfolio in this period, including the acquisitions of Smooth Ambler, Del Maguey and Ungava, and the disposal of non-core assets, such as Frïs, Domecq and Glenallachie.
