Drinks group Rémy Cointreau has issued a press release detailing its plan to buy the Domaine des Hautes Glaces whisky distillery, located in the French Alps.
Discussions with shareholders are ongoing regarding the buy-out, though Rémy says the deal could be finalised before the end of 2016.
The drinks giant said that it views the Domaine des Hautes Glaces brand as a premium product with significant growth potential.
The distillery, founded in 2009, makes certified organic whiskies from a variety of grains, such as barley, rye, and spelt, produced under diverse alpine conditions.
