UK retailer Sainsbury’s has announced that it is introducing 28 new craft beers and ciders to its Northern Irish stores.
The new beers and ciders are all locally produced by breweries such as Mourne Mountains Brewery, Hilden Brewery, and Armagh Cider Company.
Beer 'Renaissance'
Claire McAlinney, Sainsbury’s regional buyer for Northern Ireland, said, “Small-batch produced beer and cider are having a real renaissance in Northern Ireland at the moment, and it’s been great working with so many of these skilled producers to bring locally made craft beers and ciders to Sainsbury’s customers in Northern Ireland.”
The retailer said that it now works with seven Northern Irish breweries, cider producers, and distillers, all of which will be launching new products as part of this expanded range.
Sainsbury’s will now stock almost 40 ranges of locally produced beers, ciders and spirits.
