Acqua Minerale San Benedetto is now the leading brand in the Italian soft drinks market, with a volume share of 15.1 per cent in 2015 and the best performance in terms of market share growth (1.1% on 2014), according to research by Canadean.
The research found that San Benedetto is not only the best-selling brand in the soft drinks market in Italy, but also the best-selling in the mineral water (10.7%) and iced tea (28.9%) markets.
It is also the "leading group" in the carbonated soft drinks segment with no added sugar (30.5%) and the Energade brand (produced and distributed in Italy on Schweppes authorization) is the leader in the sports drinks market (34.5%).
