Spar has announced that it has launched its international wine collection in Spar stores in Shandong province in China.
Presently, the retailer is offering five wine varieties sourced by Spar wine experts in Italy and France.
In due course, the company plans to roll out the collection in other parts of the country.
The Collection
The Spar International Wine Collection comprises entry-level, mid-tier and premium wines from more than 20 different producers, suppliers and wholesalers.
It includes red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines from eight Spar markets - Austria, France, Georgia, Italy, Portugal, South Africa, Slovenia and Spain.
Spar added that the collection highlights the advantages of combining local expertise in sourcing with international expertise in logistics, and is in line with its 'buying better together' strategy.
