Starbucks is expanding into the Slovak Republic, omediach.com has learned.
The world’s largest coffee-shop chain is opening its first “On-The-Go” coffee machines at Shell petrol stations in the Slovak capitol Bratislava.
There will be no Starbucks cafés in Slovakia as of now, the portal has learned. Rather, the commuter-centric concept will bring a self-serve beverage solution to Slovakia.
The arrival of Starbucks to Slovakia was also confirmed by the representatives of the partner company representing the brand in Slovakia. "Selecta as the exclusive sales partner of Starbucks brings to the Shell gas stations the on the go concept of Starbucks,” Radoslav Bosák from the company Selecta told the portal.
During the pilot that began this week, coffee machines at five gas stations have been replaced, Bosák added.
