Waitrose has added 14 wines (including a Châteauneuf-du-Pape) to the range of products subject to discount under its loyalty scheme as part of its Christmas offer, with pâtés, chesses, seafood and meats to be added in early December, theguardian.com reports.
These discounts are available to the six million people in the UK with MyWaitrose cards. Its pick-your-own offer scheme lets those in possession 20 per cent off ten items of their own selection.
Waitrose’s director of marketing, Rupert Thomas, said, “We want pick your own offers to be relevant to our customers and so we’re adding the things that people like to stock up on for Christmas, whether that’s essentials or festive treats. ”
Among the other newly added wines are a NV Bertrand de Bessac champagne and a DOCG Barolo.
