German retailer Edeka is getting ready to launch its new branch in Weilerbach, Germany, after six months of construction.
Located at the Isigny-Allee, the new store will open on 30 November. It will be managed by Anastasia Kromer-Haag, who previously managed the Hauptstraße branch in Weilerbach, and run with the help of 30 employees.
'Edeka Haag' will have around 18,000 items on offer, with close to 1,300 metre square of retail space. The store's design is bright and customer-friendly, with specialist service counters for fish, meat & meat products and over 250 varieties of cheese.
The usual assortment of discount, private label and A-brand labels is complemented by a large selection of regional and local fresh produce, such as eggs, pasta, sweets, fish and sausages, as well as a range of organic, vegan, gluten-free and sustainably-sourced products.
In addition, a 'Bäckerhaus Ecker' franchise bakery offers fresh bread, bread rolls and other bakery products and the wine department has a choice of 600 wines, including selections from the region.
