El Corte Inglés has expanded its delivery service Click&Express to all of its supermarkets in 53 Spanish cities, serving 18 million users, the Spanish retailer announced Friday.
Customers can receive purchases in less than two hours, or in a time frame of their choosing. They can select from more than 150,000 references that include fashion and accessories, electronics, household appliances and 'Club Gourmet' items.
The retailer said it is now the first company to offer this service in all large Spanish cities, although availability of items depends on location and stock.
Some of the most-purchased items on the site include mobile telephones, tablets, wines and spirits, and Club Gourmet products.
The Click&Express service allows delivery to other addresses than the billing address and offers a gift-wrapping option. Customers can check the progress of their delivery via an online real-time locator.
El Corte Inglés also offers Click&Collect, which lets customers order online and pick up in-store in El Corte Inglés and Supercor locations, as well as 300 'convenience points' such as post offices. Another option is Click&Car, which lets online shoppers pick up their purchases in the parking lot of a chosen location.
The retailer had previously added ten new cities to the Click&Express service in September.
