Spanish olive oil company Acesur reported a 9.5% increase in international sales in 2015, totaling €550 million, DiariodeSevilla.es has reported.
The company's chief executive, Gonzalo Guillén, said that while Acesur products are available at the cheapest price in Spain, it is also the country where olive oil is least valued.
More than 50 per cent of Acesur's sales are in markets outside Spain.
Since 2012, Acesur has been focused on international markets, and is a leader in its category in Brazil, China, South Africa, Mexico, Australia and South Korea.
