Carrefour Polska has announced that it has added three new products to its range of own-brand MSC-certified fish.
These include North Atlantica herring fillets in mustard, dill, and cream sauce, which are now available in stores.
Sustainable Fishing
MSC certification guarantees that the products are sourced from sustainable fisheries that adhere to responsible fishing practices.
Secretary general of Carrefour Polska, Robert Noceń, said, “Responsible fishing is also important to us due to the CSR Carrefour policy, which is based on the protection of biodiversity.
“By choosing fish products with MSC certificates, consumers help to protect aquatic ecosystems and preserve global fish stocks, which are more and more overfished each year.”
Transforming Nutrition
The group aims to emerge as a leader in transforming nutrition by providing its customers nutritious, high-quality food products at affordable prices.
As a part of its policy of sustainable sale of fish products, the retailer has made a commitment that by 2020 half of the fish sold by the network will be sourced from sustainable fisheries.
