Coop Sweden says that it has experienced an increase in sales of organic goods in the first half of 2017, with 10% of produce sold being organic.
The retailer adds that this is 'significantly higher' than the average across the Swedish food market, which amounted to 8.7% last year.
Growing Range
Louise König, sustainability manager at Coop Sweden, said that customers are adding more organic goods to their baskets, especially local Swedish produce.
"We continue to work on improving our organic range further, making it even easier for our customers to make a green decision," she added.
Last year, Coop expanded its organic food range, which now features almost 500 products. It says that the most popular organic products are bananas, eggs, and butter.
