French dairy cooperative Sodiaal will appoint a new managing director, following Frédéric Rostand's announcement that he will step down, LeFigaro.fr reported.
The coop will make a statement regarding his successor on 12 December, while Rostand will remain in office until the end of this year. The recruitment will be made from within the co-op itself, Sodiaal said in a statement.
54-year-old Rostand will leave the coop amicably to ‘take a new step in his professional life.’ His tenure, which began in 2011, is regarded as successful.
His brief was to manage ‘the restructuring of the group in the face of [EU] milk quotas in a manner that would soften their blow’, and to integrate the Entremont group, along with its mergers, said the publication.
