German-based dairy firm Müller has appointed Werner Stegmüller as its new global chief executive, just-food.com has reported.
The former chief operating officer of the firm, who joined the company in June 2017, was officially promoted to the CEO role in April, according to a spokesperson.
Uwe Sommer, the previous CEO, has reportedly left the yogurt-maker. He began his tenure in the top position early last year, leaving his position as head of international sales and marketing at Swiss chocolatier Lindt & Sprüngli.
He had succeeded Ronald Kers, who became global CEO in 2015 after his stint as managing director of Müller’s operations in the UK and Ireland, starting in 2012.
