Once a year, the German Agricultural Society examines a number of companies and their products. Special focus is placed on the products’ flawless appearances, an impeccable smell and taste and on a homogeneous product consistency.
Once again, Südbayerische Fleischwaren GmbH achieved the best overall results of all companies tested. A total of 188 of the company's meat products were examined. The Edeka subsidiary won 117 gold medals, 51 silver medals and 20 bronze medals, which is a top result for the meat sector.
“Every year, we are successfully working on supplying Edeka and its consumers with high-quality meat products”, said Werner Gruber, CEO of Edeka Südbayern with responsibility for Südbayerische Fleischwaren GmbH. “We are constantly setting new standards and this award is a big motivation."
