Dutch dairy giant FrieslandCampina has announced that it is exploring options to build a sustainable dairy-processing plant in the Netherlands.
The plant will produce fresh dairy products, early-life and adult nutrition ranges, and cheese.
Flexible Supply Chain
The new facility will enable FrieslandCampina to increase the flexibility of its supply chain to meet increasing market demands, the company reported.
Milk used in the plant will be sourced from member farmers of the dairy.
The new plant is likely to be built in a greenfield location, due to its potential size and sustainability and technical requirements, the company reported.
