Dairy giant Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. has announced that it has sold 82.3% shares in CSK Food Enrichment to Royal DSM N.V. for an undisclosed sum.
The transaction, subject to customary conditions, is scheduled to close before the end of the year.
CSK produces dairy culture, rennets, and cheese coatings that are essential in determining the taste, texture, and bio-preservation of dairy products.
'Long-Term Arrangements'
President of FrieslandCampina dairy essentials, Hans Meeuwis, said, "We are pleased that CSK Food Enrichment can develop under the wings of the Dutch-based company DSM.
"Solid long term arrangements have been made with the new owner securing a sustainable continuation of our relationship. This is a good outcome for all parties involved."
Earlier, the company had announced that it was looking for a new strategic alliance to accelerate growth. Almost all cheese in the Netherlands contain ingredients produced by CSK.
It has branches in Leeuwarden and Wageningen in the Netherlands, and is active in Europe and North America. The company, with approximately 180 employees, has a turnover of around €65 million.
