Cheese wholesaler Zijerveld, a part of FrieslandCampina Dairy Essentials, has acquired W. Bakker Kaashandel B.V., a company that specialises in cheese cutting and packaging.
The move will provide the company "excellent logistics services" and "flexibility" to meet the needs of its clients.
A Variety Of Products
Zijerveld supplies North–Holland cheese, farmhouse cheese, goat’s cheese, and foreign cheese to national and international retailers.
It also caters to other formats such as out-of-home and online retail, as well as wholesale businesses and industrial clients.
Bakker Kaashandel, which employs around 80 people, is based in Bodegraven in the Netherlands and was founded in 1928.
The value of the acquisition has not been disclosed.
