Fruits de Ponent, one of the biggest producers of peaches and nectarines in Europe, has celebrated its 25th anniversary at Fruit Logistica, which took place at the start of February.
The group doubled the size of its stand this year, from 32 to 61 metres, which enabled it to better engage with customers on its plans for the coming summer season.
One of the main focus areas of the show was establishing the OKI peach variant as the benchmark brand of flat peaches in Europe. The characteristics of the fields of the Ebro Valley in Spain and its climate makes this fruit unique in the world, due to its colour, flavour and aroma.
This year, Fruits de Ponent plans to target consumers in specific European markets, including Spain, France, England and the Netherlands, with a campaign to promote the OKI peach.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year meant that Fruits de Ponent also used Fruit Logistica to toast its longstanding commitment to quality production, with a cocktail evening for clients, institutions and media at the show.
