Fruits de Ponent has celebrated its 25th anniversary in style, with a special event for members, employees, customers and industry representatives at Seu Vella, in Lleida, Spain.
At the event, the Chairman of the group, Sebastià Escarp, called for greater cooperation and collaboration in order to meet the challenges of the future, particularly when it comes to distribution.
Escarp also paid tribute to the group's members, "who work hard, 365 days a year," and are often not rewarded for their key role within the company.
"We must face the future with optimism and not discourage ourselves because this is a guarantee to face adversity," he explained.

The event was attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Carlos Cabanas, the director of the Agri-Food Industries of the Generalitat, Carmel Mòdol, and the deputy mayor of Lleida City Council, Fèlix Larrosa.

At the close of the celebrations at Seu Vella, a commemorative plaque was presented to the former presidents present at the event: José Jaimejuan, Jaume Gené and Josep Sans.
The event ended with a dinner in the cloister of the Seu Vella.
