Vegetales Línea Verde Navarra, the Spanish branch of La Linea Verde Group, will take part in the Madrid Fruit Attraction Exhibition for the 11th time.
The La Linea Verde Group, founded in 1991 by two Italian brothers, Giuseppe and Domenico Battagliola, is a European producer of fresh-cut salads and chilled fresh soups.
A Family Business
Grounded on solid family values, the group evolved from a family agricultural business. It boasts 40 years of experience in agriculture, more than 25 years in fresh-cut, and 12 years in chilled/fresh ready meals.
Over the years, the group has become a reliable co-packer of bagged salads and chilled fresh soups for more than 60 retailers’ brands in Italy and Europe.
With six production sites in Italy, Spain and Serbia, five commercial offices in Italy, Spain, Serbia, Russia and France, and a €300 million turnover in 2018, La Linea Verde qualifies as the right partner for international large-scale retailers.
The international outlook of the company is not limited to export, and it extends to new commercial openings in Europe.
New Commercial Relationships
In March 2018, a new commercial office opened in France, to establish new commercial relationships with French retailers.
At the beginning of the same year, new greenhouses and a facility for the production of fresh-cut salads were built in Serbia, to supply Eastern European countries all year round.
The group is the owner of state-of-the-art fields and greenhouses. Driven by a strong commitment to agriculture, it boasts of a short, clean and integrated agricultural supply chain built in partnership with loyal farmers.
Moreover, La Linea Verde group is increasing investments in human capital, energy savings, and new technologies, to boost its production efficiency.
The key to the company’s success lies in its innovative, high-quality and convenient products, in both standard and organic categories.
The Product Range
The product range offered by the company includes bagged salads, prepared salads with dressing, chilled fresh soups and juices, and unwashed baby leaf salads.
Thanks to continuous investment in technology and an internal team specialising in R&D, La Linea Verde has always aimed at extending the offer and increasing the turnover of the fresh-produce department through products of exceptional added value, even creating new markets.
As a matter of fact, in 2006, La Linea Verde was the first company to launch fresh soups in Italy, and since then, it has always been the leader of a market worth €120 million, with a 50% market share.
The management team of the group will showcase its original range of fresh convenience products, as well as new Asian-style soups, in a big, eye-catching stand at HALL 9, STAND 9C02, at Fruit Attraction 2019, in Feria de Madrid between 22 and 24 October 2019.
La Linea Verde is looking forward to reinforcing its relationship with international large-scale retail buyers.
