Portuguese supermarket chain Pingo Doce has added Aberdeen Angus beef, produced entirely in Portugal, to its product offering.
The Angus National Pingo Doce meat comes from calves that are reared in green pastures. They are predominantly fed corns, ryegrasses, clovers and grasses, giving Angus beef its unique characteristics.
The beef is packaged with an exclusive seal that guarantees strict quality control and certification that ensures the authenticity of the origin of the National Angus Beef.
The entire Aberdeen Angus range has been created by 40 leading Portuguese producers, working in close partnership with Pingo Doce.
Pingo Doce established the Angus Beef Program in 2012, in partnership with the Association of Breeders Aberdeen-Angus Portugal (AAP).
