Pink Lady® Europe’s participation in Fruit Logistica had a very favourable outcome, with a significantly high number of people visiting the group's stand.
The meeting also enabled the company to strengthen business relationships, notably with overseas partners.
Pink Lady® took the opportunity afforded by Fruit Logistica to announce its encouraging mid-season results.
Pink Lady® has an estimated volume of over 178,000 tonnes, the equivalent of last year, in contrast to the overall market, which has seen a 22% drop in Europe.
This is coupled with superb quality, meaning that the group is able to confirm its objective of increasing market share this season.
Growth Markets
Excellent performance is anticipated this season, with Pink Lady®’s overall volume up by 15%, compared to the same period in 2016/17.
Growth markets include Sweden (+46%), Germany (+31%), the Netherlands (+23%), France (+21%), Italy (+17%), Spain (+1°%) and Belgium (+9%).
On top of this, the group has developed the PinKids® range, dedicated to children, which has been bolstered by a new marketing licence this season – Despicable Me 3 – and has recorded even higher growth in volume than the Pink Lady® brand, increasing by 18%.
Pink Lady® will be forging ahead this season and continuing to strengthen its trade-marketing dynamic and communication investments in order to meet its priority objective: to appeal to new consumers.
