Germany’s REWE Group has introduced high-quality Schleswig-Holstein-certified pork in its fresh meat section, in around 184 stores.
The meat is sourced from family farms in Schleswig-Holstein in Northern Germany, and has been approved for quality by the Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Agriculture.
Audits And Checks
Annual operational controls and unannounced audits are carried out to ensure that meat producers comply with standards in all stages of the production process - from birth to rearing, fattening, and slaughter.
The meat comes with a ‘Verified Quality - Schleswig-Holstein’ seal, and the entire production process for the meat is checked and controlled by farmers and all actors along the supply chain.
