Exports of fruit and vegetables from Andalucia reached 2.5 million tonnes during the first half of 2016.
As reported by europapress.es that represents a volume growth of 10% compared to the same period last year, and a value of €3,005 million for an income growth of 12.9%, according to figures from the Ministry of Economy.
Regarding fruit exports, volumes reached a total of 906,078 tonnes (9% more than in 2015) and sales accounted for €1,461.3 million, an increase of 19.6%.
Volumes of vegetable exports reached 1.6 million tonnes (an 11% increase) and sales reached €1,544 million (7.2% more than 2015).
At a national level, Spanish fruit and vegetable exports grew by 5.3% during the first half of the year, reaching €7,101 million.
