Spar Austria has increased its organic cheese assortment with the addition of a variety produced by the Pötzelsberger dairy in Adnet, Austria.
The organic dairy harnesses only natural raw milk and natural additives for its cheese production. Moreover, it sources all its milk from local farmers and uses old family recipes for production.
The farm feeds its dairy cows primarily with grasses and herbs that are growing on the fields and mountains around the dairy.
Added Benefits
As well as its refined taste, the cheese contains many vital omega-3 fatty acids, according to a study by the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna.
"At Spar, we are very proud to work with flagship partners like the Pötzelsberger village cheese dairy. Our customers benefit from the fine selection of regional cheese specialties they can find at Spar,” said Dr. Christof Rissbacher, managing director of Spar Salzburg and Tyrol.
Among others, Bio-Alpenperle and Bio-Heublumenkäse, which are characterised by their careful maturation, are among fine cheese selection offered by Spar Austria.
