Special Fruit is committed to offer its clients and producers the best quality selected fruit, and with this in mind, the company has embraced the initiative of certifying its ‘Calinda’ strawberry and ‘Kwanza’ raspberry varieties grown in Spain and Portugal with the ZERYA pesticide residue free production voluntary standard.
In addition, Special Fruit has undertaken a major effort to improve and update the skills of its technical staff, as well as designing a new marketing strategy that will allow the company to maximize the benefits of these new attributes from now on.
Special Fruit has accomplished the first of its goals and reached the milestone of being the first group to promote the simultaneous certification of three producers; Sunshine Fruits Lda., SAT Algaida and the BONAFRU cooperative.
To celebrate these achievements, Special Fruit hosted a certificate reception party on May 20th last, at which the company received the ZERYA certificates from the Dutch CB KIWA.
