German discounter Kaufland has entered the world of online retailing with a new delivery service, unveiled on 5 October. A test phase has commenced, offering deliveries in Berlin only.
For a minimum order value of €40, customers can avail of punctual, direct-to-door deliveries, with the first three deliveries applicable for free shipping. A wide range of Kaufland products are available, for the same prices as in-store.
Methods of payment include credit card, PayPal, debit or bill. A desired delivery time can be chosen every hour between 7a.m. and 10p.m.
The products are then delivered in refrigerated vehicles, stored in reusable containers and sustainable paper bags.
