Russian retailer Lenta has announced the opening of two new supermarkets in St. Petersburg, bringing the company's total number of supermarkets in the city to twenty.
The two new stores are 911 square metres and 1,593 square metres in size, respectively.
The smaller store will have an assortment of 3,600 products, while the larger outlet will feature 7,800. These have been selected specifically for the residents of St. Petersburg and includes Lenta's private labels and national product ranges alongside local produce.
Retail Expansion
These stores are Lenta’s eighteenth and nineteenth supermarket openings in 2017. Earlier this week the retailer opened its 37th supermarket in the city of Moscow.
These openings have brought the total number of Lenta stores to 201 hypermarkets in 79 cities across Russia and 67 supermarkets in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and the Central region.
