Marks & Spencer Named UK Supermarket Of The Year By Which?

British consumer experts Which? has announced Marks & Spencer as the 2017 'Supermarket of the Year' in its latest awards ceremony.

Marks & Spencer's crowning ‘Which? Supermarket of the Year’ ended a 'run of success' for rivals Aldi and Waitrose, the group said.

Peter Vicary-Smith, Which? chief executive, said, “Consumers should be at the heart of every business. Brands that deliver excellent products and services for their customers deserve to be recognised and rewarded.

“The Which? Awards winners list honours the commitment of those businesses that strive to meet the expectations of consumers and go above and beyond to respond to their needs.”

Aldi, Iceland, Lidl and Waitrose were also shortlisted for this years award. M&S were shortlisted for the award last year, but failed to claim any honours.

Earlier this year, M&S launched a new 'Spend it Well' advertising campaign, which will be featured across all digital channels and in-store.

The retailer says that the campaign is 'designed to inspire and enable people to make every moment special by focusing on the quality experiences, people and things that really matter'. It will be the first campaign that includes both its food and clothing divisions under one tagline.
