Italian discount supermarket chain MD has expanded its presence in Northern Italy, with the opening of new stores in Cernusco sul Naviglio (Milan) and Thiene (Vicenza).
The new stores, featuring a new layout launched earlier this year, follows the opening of seven new stores this summer.
With the new openings, the Milan area will have 23 MD branded stores, while in the Vicenza area the group is opening its second outlet.
The Cernusco sul Naviglio store covers 1250 square metres of space, while that of Thiene is spread over 1,500 square metres.
Over the past two months, MD has opened new stores in five Italian regions - Parma (1,500 m2), Mirandola near Modena (1,500 m2), Mortara near Pavia (1,500 m2), Lecce (1,000 m2), Napoli (1,000 m2) and Cariati near Cosenza (1,505 m2),
