Swiss retailer Migros has launched a new pilot project, selling ready-to-prepare meal boxes as part of its Migusto cookery programme.
Each box contains all the ingredients to create a meal for two people, as well as a recipe card with detailed preparation instructions, and costs between CHF 22.50 (€19.78) and CHF 33 (€29).
The contents of the boxes will change on a weekly basis. For example, this week's box has the ingredients for a vegetable risotto, while next week's will be for a fetuccine dish with ham and olives.
Trial Project
The project is currently being tested at six selected Migros branches in Buchs, Bern, Zurich, Ister, Wil and Steinhausen.
The trial will last for 12 weeks and Migros will decide whether to expand the concept to all of its stores based on the customer feedback.
Migros launched Migusto, its online cooking club, in February of this year. Its services include a database for recipes, a digital shopping list service for online orders, tutorial videos, and daily updated culinary news items.
