Three months after selling its chain of M Local Shops, Morrisons has returned to the convenience shopping sector with the opening of a new store concept called Morrisons Daily in Cheshire, reports The Guardian.
Located at a petrol station in Crewe, the new store is reportedly set to be joined by four more Morrisons Daily outlets nationwide as part of a trial.
Morrisons has opened the new store in partnership with Motor Fuel Group, which operates 373 petrol stations across the UK.
Set to operate 24 hours a day, Morrisons Daily in Crewe measures 1,200 square feet, and will sell both fresh and prepared food, including sandwiches and ready meals, along with other groceries.
