Swiss multinational Nestlé is planning to sell confectionery brands, Spicchi di Sole, Fondenti, and Rossana, and possibly pastry brand Ore Lietem, according to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
Nestlé has reportedly selected Vitale & Co as its advisor for its plans to sell the brands, but not the production side of the business.
Possible buyers include leading groups from the sector such as Sperlari, Ambrosoli, Elah Dufour Novi and Perfetti.
The decision is said to be part of Nestlé’s plan to focus its efforts on its core business, primarily chocolate, and comes after Nestlé announced its 2015 results, which revealed its weakest sales in the past six years.
There have been no official comments from Nestlé in the Italian press reports.
