Ardagh Group has announced plans to expand production at its Jacareí and Manaus facilities, in Brazil.
The group said that it was making the investment to meet ‘its customers’ growing demand for infinitely-recyclable and sustainable aluminium packaging’.
The Jacareí facility, near São Paulo, has been operating at near-full capacity for the past couple of years, Ardagh said.
Its Manaus facility, which was commissioned in 2018, ‘will also increase capacity to meet growing customer demand’, Ardagh said.
These recent and planned investments are consistent with Ardagh’s commitment to support the growth prospects of the Brazilian can market, the company added.
