Ardagh Group has announced a new packaging agreement to produce glass bottles for US mineral water brand Mountain Valley Spring Water.
"After spending more than 3,500 years on its journey from the source, Mountain Valley Spring Water is committed to keeping its spring water pure, flowing and sustainable, so we can continue to bottle in glass and share with many generations to come,” commented Stephen Williams, director corporate marketing, Mountain Valley Spring Water.
Environmental Awareness
As environmental awareness grows, the commitment to sustainable practices is one of the driving forces in the expanding bottled water market.
Between 2017 and 2018, there was a 20% rise in bottled water products launched in glass in the US, according to Mintel Global New Products Data Base (GNPD).
"This line of glass bottles, known for its protective qualities and environmental distinction, is the ideal packaging choice for today’s environmentally-conscious consumer.” said John T Shaddox, chief commercial officer, North American Glass devision, Ardagh Group.
