To commemorate summer 2016 sporting events, Ardagh Group have teamed up with Jägermeister, to create a limited edition bottle.
The print/coating specialist PSL Hehlen, supported by Ardagh’s glass factory in Nienberg, Germany has created the temporary new look for the classic 0.7L Jägermeister bottle.
In keeping with the sports theme, the 800,000 strong collection consists of 18 different labels, each representing the flag of each country who competed in European Football Championship in France this summer.
The printing process involved the use of organic UV inks, tailor-made for the project, and using specific screens and squeegees, to create a higher level of brightness in colour, on the iconic bottle’s green glass.
Carsten Doliwa, Head of Purchasing and Materials Management from Jägermeister remarked: “We are delighted with the end result of this latest packaging innovation for our brand using directly printed decoration. Our close cooperation and teamwork with Ardagh and PSL Hehlen on this complex process was crucial.”
