Packaging company Ardagh Group has announced that it will produce glass bottles for the New Glarus Brewing Company, based in Wisconsin.
The bottles will be produced in the group's Burlington facility, which has roughly 290 employees and creates 1.9 million containers per day.
The ability to have a local manufacturing facility attracted the brewery, said president Deb Carey.
“We’re excited to bring this important manufacturing business home to Wisconsin,” she said.
Prior to their collaboration with the group, New Glarus Brewing Company produced their bottles outside of the state.
The Ardagh Group facility has been in operation for 50 years, and is situated 90 miles from the brewery.
