Packaging giant Ardagh Group has announced that it will step-up production in its Valparaiso facility, in Indiana, USA, to meet the increasing demand for innovative, eye-catching beverage can packaging.
The ISO–9001:2015 certified plant will increase production by approximately 10%. The new production will be available in the third quarter of 2019.
World-Class Packaging
The chief executive of Ardagh Metal – North America, Claude Marbach, said, “We’re very proud to increase Valparaiso’s production capabilities, further positioning the plant as a world-class source of innovative, eye-catching tabs and ends.
“We are providing leading beverage organisations the best in brand-building packaging, enabling differentiation on retail shelves with the inherent environmental benefits of aluminium cans.”
The beverage can end and tab plant, built in 1987, covers an area of more than 135,000 square feet.
Beverage companies are increasingly opting for colourful graphics for ends and tabs, to complement the full surface space of the can body used to showcase their brand, the company said, and the increased investment at the Valparaiso facility will help them accomplish these goals.
