Campbell Announces New Sustainable Packaging Goals

Campbell Soup Company has announced new packaging sustainability goals, aimed at reducing packaging waste by focusing on increasing the life cycle of materials used.

The company has outlined four goals, which will address the phases of the packaging life cycle, from raw material sourcing to end-of-life solutions, including recycling or composting.

In addition, the company will be increasing and incorporating at least 25% post-consumer recycled content into its polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles by 2030.

How2Recycle

Campbell Soup Company will also endeavour to increase recycling rates by adding the How2Recycle label to all packaging by 2022.

It said that it will also advance the development of infrastructure aimed at improving the collection and recycling of packaging through investments and building partnerships with peers and industry groups.
